The book focuses on using the power of snap judgements and 'thin slicing' your problems into things that are more manageable. A good read, but there are too many case studies, and at times I find it hard to weave these studies back to the central point of the book.
What the 288 pages of 'Blink' mean to me.....Listen to what instinct tells you, employ some common sense, and you'll be in good shape. Break shit up into managable chucks in life, and you can accomplish a lot. It says the subconscious is a powerful thing, and experts in areas identify things without really being able to explain things.
The Tipping Point is much better, the books are somewhat closely related, and definitely not as winded.

I do concur with you shooting yourself in the head. If only to let the chicken voices out.
